Alternator 300 TDi 100Amp - pulley 49mm

The 1st Discovery and Defender 300TDi had a larger pulley, 62mm, and used the long belt ERR3287.
The pulley got smaller (49mm in diameter), allowing the alternator to idle faster. The 49mm pulley uses the shorter ERR5911 belt.This alternator is suitable for Discovery 1 300TDi 1996-1998 (from VIN TA163104). The pulley which is mounted on the alternator is 49mm in diameter.
Defender 300tdi: can be mounted on the Defender 300TDi, but it will be impossible to mount the heat shield on the back of the alternator (plastic on the new alternator). You will have to make a heat deflector yourself, using a sheet. With the 49mm pulley, the ERR5911 short belt must be used.
