Oil seal for rear of mainshaft
The seal is fitted between the gearbox and the transfer box. The unit must be disconnected in order to fit it. This seal is always replaced when the gearbox and transfer box are fully overhauled. This seal is not accessible from the outside; the gearbox must be extensively dismantled to gain access to it.
We recommend purchasing the Land Rover-branded seal.
