Carburettor Weber 34 ICH

Serie 2/3: Suitable for 2.25L petrol engines. The Weber carburetor is considered less "greedy" than the Solex and Zenith carburetors. The Weber has a 34mm body while the Zenith has a 36mm body. Reference of the repair kit = BR2238K (not included with the carburetor).
If your 2.25L engine is equipped with a Solex carburetor, and you want to install a Weber, you will need the STC541 spacer to rotate the Weber carburettor by 90 °. You will also need to reverse the movement of the gas pedal. If your engine is equipped with a Zenith, and you wish to mount a Weber, the STC541 spacer is already present, you have nothing else to do.
Serie 1 & Minerva: The Weber carburettor can also be suitable for 2 liter engines of Serie 1 and Minerva. It mounts without special adaptation.
instead of the Solex 32PBI carburetor. The gaskets are identical, and the studs of the intake manifolds are quite long. Without finding Solex carburetors of good quality in new part, we tested this assembly. The original Solex carburetor has a 32mm body, and the Weber a 34mm body, which is substantially identical. In our tests, we did not notice an increase in fuel consumption with the Weber. We even found that we use less petrol! Idle speed screw plays its role perfectly and a fine idle adjustment is possible (it was not the case with the last copies of the Solex). The fuel supply pipe must be via a rubber hose and a serflex collar (and no longer screwed with a screw and a banjo via the rigid pipe). The small vacuum hose can be kept, but a small rubber hose is needed to connect it to the Weber carburetor. Finally, and this is the most important change, it will reverse 180 ° and bend the throttle opening control valve on the carburetor, so that it touches the intake manifold. These changes are simple and easy to make. The big advantage of the Weber carburettor mounted on a 2-liter is to be able to benefit from a carburetor manufactured to modern standards (made in Spain), of good quality, at a reasonable price. Always keep your old Solex carburetor in your spare parts, we never know that one day, we can revise at a reasonable price and reliably.
